At First Steps Kids Montessori Preschool, our Kindergarten Readiness Program is created and structured to prepare your child for a fun and easy transition into the world of Kindergarten. What Our Kindergarten Readiness Program Entails
Our Kindergarten Readiness Program is built on the Montessori philosophy, emphasizing the holistic development of the child. We focus on nurturing intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth. By creating a well-rounded environment, we enable children to thrive and develop at their own pace.
Language and Literacy
Children engage in activities that promote reading and writing skills, phonetic awareness, and vocabulary development. Through storytelling, interactive reading sessions, and writing exercises, we foster a love for language and effective communication.
Mathematics
Our hands-on approach to math helps children understand fundamental concepts like counting, number recognition, basic arithmetic, and problem-solving. Using Montessori materials, children learn to grasp mathematical principles through concrete, tactile experiences.
Science and Exploration

Adanced Kindergarten Readiness Programs
First Step Kids Montessori Preschool also offers an advanced program that goes far beyond the regular Kindergarten curriculum. This advanced readiness program is designed for exceptional children that show great promise and who have attended at least one year of other programs in Montessori learning. This program will work in preparing your child and readying them past Kindergarten and up into the the First Grade at the level of private school learning.

Kindergarten is not a a necessity in the Province of Alberta to attend Grade One. Our Advanced Readiness Program may be a better fit for your child!
